About The Manifesto For A Beneficial Internet

The Rise of the Internet

When the bright and warm beam of the internet from the distant horizon touched us, and some birds sang their welcome song we expected a big change in the global societies. The smell of the past was blown away from the odor of a fresh wind. We knew that something revolutionary was happening. This was the possibility to turn communication up side down. Where you had a few sources of information you could now have many many senders. It was clear that the big problem will be: how would one be able to filter the relevant information from irrelevant information? Up to now the answer has not been given.

The Internet Of The Few

  • If you publish data in the structure that is forced on you then you support the internet of the few. You do not write a book in filling out a form.
  • If you as a company use a given platform then you support the internet of the few.
  • If you as a government use the data of those companies then you support the internet of the few.

Our World

  • We like real face to face communication.
    • We also like electronic communications (in fact we invented it) but that doesn't mean that you need to have access to our correspondance.
  • We like the songs of real birds.
    • We also like electronic music (in fact we invented it) but that doesn't mean that you need to know what we listen to.
  • We like the taste of real fruits.
    • We also like electronic devices that we have total control of.
  • We ogle with real craftsmanship.
    • We also like creative electronic skills to express our freedom so leave us.
  • We like to look through clear glass because we like transparancy.
    • But we also value our privacy.
  • We like seeing, touching, listening, smelling and sometimes tasting products before we buy them.
    • That doesn't mean that you need to know our location.
